Hisaber Khata Privacy Policy

Zeroos Studio ("we", "us", or "our") built the Hisaber Khata app as a free personal finance and expense tracking application.

This Privacy Policy explains how Hisaber Khata accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our Service. By using Hisaber Khata, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Hisaber Khata is designed primarily as a personal ledger. Your transactions and notes are stored locally on your device, unless you choose to use the backup functionality described below.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, Hisaber Khata may handle the following types of information:

• Google account information used for signing in, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, where provided by Google.
• Financial information that you enter into the app, such as transaction amounts, income, expenses, categories, dates, and notes.
• Notes and other information that you voluntarily create inside the application.
• Your selected app language, currency, and other application preferences.
• Backup information when you choose to use Google Drive backup.
• Technical information and diagnostic information necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the application.

2. Transaction and Personal Finance Data

Hisaber Khata allows you to record personal financial information, including income, expenses, transaction categories, dates, amounts, and notes.

This information is used to provide features such as:

• Recording and displaying transactions
• Calculating balances
• Showing spending summaries
• Generating statements
• Providing spending analytics
• Searching, filtering, and sorting transactions
• Exporting your financial records to PDF or CSV
• Providing AI-assisted interaction with your financial records

We do not sell your personal financial information.

3. Local Storage

Hisaber Khata is designed to keep your transaction and note data on your device for normal use.

You can use the core ledger functionality without sending your transaction history to our own servers.

If you choose to use Google Drive backup, your selected application data may be copied to your Google Drive as described in the Google Drive Backup section below.

4. Google Sign-In

Hisaber Khata provides Google Sign-In for features such as account identification, backup, and restoring your data across devices.

When you sign in with Google, we may receive information made available through your Google account, such as:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your Google profile picture, where available
• An account identifier used to associate your account with the app

We use this information to identify your account, maintain your preferences, and provide account-related functionality.

Google authentication is provided by Google and is subject to Google's own privacy practices.

5. Google Drive Backup and Restore

Hisaber Khata provides an optional Google Drive backup feature. Backup is not required to use the core ledger functionality.

If you enable backup, the application may store a backup containing information such as:

• Transactions
• Notes
• Selected language
• Selected currency
• Other information required to restore your application data

The backup is stored in your Google Drive and is associated with the Google account you use with Hisaber Khata.

We use Google Drive only to provide the backup and restore functionality you request. We do not use your Google Drive files for advertising or unrelated purposes.

You can disable automatic backup from the application settings. Disabling backup does not automatically remove an existing backup unless you choose to remove it.

Google Drive access and storage are provided by Google and are also subject to Google's privacy policies and terms.

6. Hisaber Khata AI Assistant

Hisaber Khata may provide an AI Assistant that allows you to interact with your financial records using natural voice conversation.

The AI Assistant may be used to help you:

• Add transactions using your voice
• Ask questions about your transactions
• Ask about spending totals and summaries
• Understand information contained in your ledger

The AI Assistant is designed to process supported AI interactions locally on your device using an on-device AI model.

For the on-device AI functionality, your voice input and the information required for the AI interaction are processed locally on your device and are not intentionally uploaded to Zeroos Studio for AI processing.

If a future version of Hisaber Khata uses a cloud-based AI, speech-recognition, or other online AI service, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what information is sent to that service and how it is used.

7. Voice and Microphone

The AI Assistant may require microphone access when you choose to communicate with it using your voice.

Microphone access is used only when required for the voice interaction feature. Hisaber Khata does not continuously record conversations in the background.

You can control microphone access through your Android device settings.

8. Analytics and Crash Information

We may use Firebase Analytics and crash/diagnostic services to understand how the application is used, identify technical problems, and improve application stability.

Depending on the services and configuration used, technical or usage information may include:

• App version
• Device and operating system information
• Approximate usage information
• App events and interactions
• Crash and diagnostic information
• Identifiers used by analytics services

Firebase Analytics can collect app-instance and device-related identifiers depending on configuration and user settings.

9. Advertising

Hisaber Khata may use Google AdMob to display advertisements.

AdMob may collect information required to display, measure, and protect the advertising service. Depending on the user's location, consent choices, and advertising configuration, this may include device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, and information used for advertising measurement or personalization.

We do not provide your transaction history, notes, or financial records to advertisers for advertising purposes.

Where required, appropriate consent and privacy controls are provided for advertising and analytics.

10. Third-Party Services

Hisaber Khata may use third-party services to provide authentication, cloud backup, analytics, crash reporting, and advertising.

These services may include:

• Google Play Services
• Google Sign-In
• Google Drive
• Google Firebase Analytics
• Google AdMob

These third-party providers process information according to their respective privacy policies and terms.

11. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or personal financial records.

We may share or allow access to information with third-party service providers only when necessary to provide features or services used by the application, such as authentication, cloud backup, analytics, crash reporting, and advertising.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

12. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by Hisaber Khata.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information.

Where your data is stored through third-party services such as Google Drive, the security and privacy controls of those services also apply.

13. Data Retention

Transaction and note data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it, uninstall the application, or otherwise remove the data.

If you use Google Drive backup, backup data may remain in your Google Drive until you delete the backup or it is otherwise removed.

Analytics and diagnostic information may be retained by the respective third-party service providers according to their applicable policies and retention settings.

14. Account and Data Deletion

If you create or use an account with Hisaber Khata, you may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us.

When a valid deletion request is received, we will take reasonable steps to delete information that we control, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and legitimate business requirements.

Data stored directly in your Google Drive is controlled through your Google account and may need to be deleted from Google Drive separately.

15. Exporting and Sharing Your Data

Hisaber Khata may allow you to export your financial records as PDF or CSV files.

When you choose to share or export a file, the file is transferred to the application or destination selected by you through Android's sharing or file system functionality.

You are responsible for choosing where exported financial information is stored or shared.

16. Children's Privacy

Hisaber Khata is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

17. Links to Other Websites

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. These websites are not operated or controlled by Zeroos Studio.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we handle information.
